Coyote Radio, the CSUSB internet streaming radio station, has launched a new weekly program called, “The CSUSB Advising Show with Matt Markin.”

The CSUSB Advising Show on Coyote Radio streams each Friday afternoon at 4 p.m.

On the show, Matt Markin, CSUSB academic advisor, interviews university faculty, staff and students, bringing listeners advising information, tips and updates on the campus.

“I am beyond thrilled to be joining the Coyote Radio team with my academic advising show,” Markin said. “This is a fantastic opportunity to reach current students and possible future students of CSUSB. Each show episode allows students to become more familiar with campus resources, majors offered, career opportunities and college success tips.”

Listeners will hear interesting stories about all the different areas of study on campus, including resources for success in each student’s academic career.

Subject matter ranges from making healthy financial habits and decisions to details on majors and degrees in history, theatre arts, psychology, social work, communication studies and related topics.

Markin will feature interviews that answer financial aid questions and give students information on scholarships.

Coyote Radio and Advertising is in the College of Arts and Letters under Dean Rueyling Chuang. On this new show addition to the radio station, she said, “It’s a pleasure to have this weekly feature on Coyote Radio showcasing the opportunities offered to our campus and community. We welcome our amazing academic advisor Matt Markin as host of the program. He disseminates academic-related information that serves our students’ success, and now this knowledge can be heard on Coyote Radio.”
